from '86 in Chicago... Is there a recording of that show? Looked like it from their web site. Is that something you might have a n be willing to share? I saw it and it was one of the best dhows I ever saw at Metro. Would be most appreciated.
Thanks!

Thanks again for the lift back to the train station, for getting us back to meet the band, hang, and so on.

Still sorry about the loss of all the DATs a week later.

I owe you a tape from the show in http://www.jazzbutcher.com/htdb/gigs/1988/Mar20.html

Once I get my tapes tx'd to mp3 or what not it's all yours... albeit 17 years late.

BTW thanks for Garageband.com

chris

and why aren't your photos on the wall for $150?

I've followed Aaron Huey's work for a few years now. Be inspired by someone so young. www.aaronhuey.com

Do you know that this site:

from the JBC website:

David Whittemore says:
"... ? yes. success"

Are you sharing?

We loved this show, and loved the next one
with the full band there...

She'd be surprised and thrilled to hear
either one of these shows again.

Thanks very much, either way.

Hey,

I was "Googling" around and found this email address for David Whittemore. I don't know if you recall but we attended Purdue U. at the same time and had a few classes together. You were a huge Jazz Butcher, Orange Juice, etc... fan. I found this web site that mentioned Dano Kildsig, the singer in our high school punk band, The Defekts. On the page it mentioned David Whittemore. So I thought I would explore and sure enough it seems to be the same person. As I recall, you wrote an album database with a curses interface on Unix back in the day when LPs were still the main distribution media for music. Anyway, just wanted to say "hi". It would be great to hear from you.

Regards

It will never get any better.
It will never become any more meaningful.
The time to get out is now.

howdy Mr. Whittemore,
Maybe you might remember me from the suffocating days of Indiana. Was wondering if you had any pictures of Ellen Samuels, or Rob Schecter, (or Darryn), or Alex Gottlieb to post.

Pat and Max show at the Great American Music Hall.

Hi,

I am a big JBC fan. I have been since 1986 or so. Anyway, I love your web page on Pat and everyone. Fantastic job. It is the best page on a band I have ever seen. Seriously.

Anyway, I have seen the JBC many times, including just a few nights ago at the troubaour in LA. Just like every other time I see them, I listen to the albums for a period after. I was listening to "Glorious and Idiotic" and I couldn't help but remember an amazing show that I saw at the Great American Music hall Sep. 22, 1997. It was just Pat and Max and also just about the best show I have ever seen. So, I am perusing your fine webpages, and I decide to see what was written about that show. Well, you know what is there, but what caught my eye was the fact that you recorded the show!

Is there any way for me to get a copy of it? I would love to hear it. Is there somewhere on the web it can be downloaded? Or better yet, would you be willing to trade something for it? I am not sure what, as I don't have much in the way of live shows or anything like that though. Anwyay, let me know if there is any way for me to be able to hear it.

I didn't want to post this on the JBC page, as I was afraid others would bug you about it if I did. Anyway, send me an email if you wouldn't mind. Thanks!

David Reitzel
